REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust plc has today purchased 140,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at 162.76 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 161,318,078.
