Changes to the Board

The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Japanese  Investment Trust plc announce that Mr
Blaise Hardman has retired as a non-executive Director of the Board with effect
from 15th March 2006.  Mr Hardman has been the Audit Committee Chairman of the
Company.  The Board sincerely thanks Mr Hardman for his valuable contributions
during his time on the Board.

Mr Alan Barber has been appointed as the Audit Committee Chairman of the
Company.
