JPMORGAN JAPAN SMALLER COMPANIES TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES INTO TREASURY

On Thursday  25^th October 2012, JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc purchased into Treasury 34,000 ordinary shares at 137.90 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 39,195,318 including 294,500 shares held in treasury.
