The Board of JPMorgan Fleming Japanese Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce, with immediate effect, the appointment of Mr Robert White as an independent non-executive Director of the Company. 

Mr White has 30 years of experience in the Japanese market. Currently, Mr White is a Partner of Oldfield Partners LLP responsible for their Japanese investments. 

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R (2) to (6).
