CONVERSION OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES

JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc announces that today it issued 1,000 Ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by an uncertificated Subscription shareholder.

The shares in issue following this notification are 39,491,138 Ordinary shares, with 294,500 held in Treasury, and 7,197,658 Subscription shares.
