CONVERSION OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES

JPMorgan Fleming Japanese Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc announces that today it issued 3,781 Ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by a number of uncertificated Subscription shareholders. 

The shares in issue following this notification are 39,333,767 Ordinary shares, including 396,000  held in Treasury, and 7,774,529 Subscription shares.
