CONVERSION OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES

JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc announces that today it issued 2,185 Ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by a number of certificated Subscription shareholders.

The shares in issue following this notification are 39,489,818 Ordinary shares, with 35,000 held in Treasury, and 7,198,978 Subscription shares.
