JPMorgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust plc (the "Company")

Change of Auditors

A letter has been sent to shareholders of the Company today pursuant to Section 520(2) of the Companies Act 2006.  It is for information only and relates to the statutory statement received from Deloitte LLP in connection with its resignation as the Company's Auditors with effect from 25^th July 2014 (the date of the Company's Annual General Meeting). 

The resignation follows the Company's formal, competitive review and tender of audit services and the decision to appoint Grant Thornton UK LLP as Auditors.  The appointment of Grant Thornton UK LLP as Auditors to the Company will be proposed at the Annual General Meeting on 25^th July 2014.
