                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION





JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc has today purchased 57,000 ordinary shares
for cancellation at 475.3819 pence per share.



Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 104,749,662
including 1,979,788 held in treasury at a weighted average discount of 12.31%.
