              JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc ("the Company")

                            ONGOING ISSUES OF EQUITY


Further to the announcement regarding the issue of shares yesterday, 24 January
2006 and, notwithstanding the fact that the Company has a further 10,581,940
shares available for issue pursuant to the authority granted at the AGM held on
24 January 2006, under the Prospectus Rules the Company may not issue further
equity under this authority until a prospectus has been approved by and filed
with the FSA.

The Company will make a further announcement once the Prospectus has been filed,
and it is anticipated this will occur within 6 weeks.
