                               ISSUE OF SHARES


JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that today, 1st November
2005, it issued 100,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 197.25 pence
per share representing 0.10% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 100,000.  A
further 9,554,036 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the EGM held today.

The shares in issue following this notification are 96,765,392.
