                               ISSUE OF SHARES



JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc announces that today, Wednesday 1st March
2006, it issued 4,121,270 ordinary shares to a market participant at 280.75
pence per share representing 3.94% of the ordinary shares in issue.



The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 4,171,270.  A
further 6,460,670 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the AGM held on 24th January 2006.



The shares in issue following this notification are 104,511,662.
