                                ISSUE OF SHARES


JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc announces that today, Friday 6th January
2006, it issued 100,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 247.75 pence
per share representing 0.1% of the ordinary shares in issue.



The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 2,925,000.  A
further 6,729,036 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the EGM held on 1st November 2005.



The shares in issue following this notification are 99,590,392.
