                                 ISSUE OF SHARES


JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc announces that today, Monday 19th December
2005, it issued 50,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 234.75 pence
per share representing 0.05% of the ordinary shares in issue.



The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 1,550,000.  A
further 8,104,036 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the EGM held on 1st November 2005.



The shares in issue following this notification are 98,215,392.
