                      JPMORGAN INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                       CHANGE OF AUDIT COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN


The Board of JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc has agreed that Mr Hugh
Bolland be appointed Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee with effect from
1st October 2006.

Mr Philip Daubeney has resigned as Audit Committee Chairman with effect from the
same date.
