Appointment of New Director

The Board of JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Nimi Patel as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 13th December 2011.

Nimi is a member of Herbert Smith LLP's corporate division and Head of Herbert Smith India Group. Nimi has assisted a number of Indian corporates, including the Tata Group, Reliance Industries and ICICI Limited, public sector undertakings and financial institutions on transactions in India. Nimi joined Herbert Smith in 1994.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R (2) to (6).
