JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc (the 'Company')

Allotment of New Ordinary Shares and Subscription Shares

Further to recent announcements, the Board of Directors of the Company announces that it has today allotted 261,944 New Ordinary Shares and 21,001,937 Subscription Shares.

Application has been made for admission of such Shares to the Official List and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Dealings in these Shares are expected to commence on 5 November 2008. 

Following admission of these Shares there will be 105,011,606 Ordinary Shares (including 1,979,788 held in Treasury) and 21,001,937 Subscription Shares in issue.

The Subscription Shares will trade under the code 'JIIS' from 5 November 2008.
