                 JPMORGAN FLEMING INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC


Following the Annual General Meeting of the Company, which was held yesterday,
29th January 2003, the Board is pleased to announce that all the resolutions put
to shareholders were passed, including a Special Resolution allowing the Company
to make market purchases of up to 8,782,815 ordinary shares, representing 14.99%
of the Company's issued share capital.
