JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

('The Company')

In conformity with the Transparency Directive, the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

The Company's issued share capital consists of 104,000,000 ordinary 1 pence shares with voting rights.  The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 104,000,000.

The above figure (104,000,000) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
