ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that on 23 September 2014 it issued 500,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 120.50 pence per share under its Ordinary share block listing facility. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 283,364,438 Ordinary shares.
