JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 7,500,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 113.75 pence per share.  It is expected the shares will be listed on Thursday 22^nd of  November. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 186,169,438 Ordinary shares.
