                 JPMORGAN FLEMING OVERSEAS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                 REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION


JPMorgan Fleming Overseas Investment Trust plc announces that today in the
market it purchased for cancellation 125,000 ordinary shares at 628.7 per share,
representing a total of 0.34% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The current repurchase authority was approved by shareholders on 30th November
2005.  To date 125,000 ordinary shares have been repurchased under this
authority.

The remaining number of ordinary shares in issue following this repurchase is
37,042,448.
