REPURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan European Smaller Companies Trust plc purchased 350,000 ordinary shares at 987.50 pence per share on 6 September 2013 for cancellation.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 33,429,577.
