The   Fleming  Emerging  Markets  Investment  Trust   plc
announces  that  today in the market they  purchased  for
cancellation 250,000 ordinary shares at 159.5p per  share
representing 0.27% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The  number  of  shares repurchased to  date  now  totals
4,170,000  representing 4.31% of the ordinary  shares  in
issue  at  the  time  of commencement of  the  repurchase
programme.

The remaining shares in issue following this notification
is 92,684,218.
