JPMORGAN CLAVERHOUSE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

The Board of JPMorgan Claverhouse Investment Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill May as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st February 2017.

Jill has had 25 years' experience in investment banking, 13 years in M&A with S.G. Warburg and 12 at UBS, focused on strategy and organizational change. She has broad knowledge of investment banking, asset management and private banking in the UK and EMEA.

She is a Panel Member of the Competition and Markets Authority ("CMA") and is a member of the CMA Enquiry into Retail Banking and SME Lending. She was also a non-executive Director of the CMA from its inception in 2013 until October 2016. She is a non-executive Director of the Institute of Chartered Accountants ("ICAEW").

Commenting on the appointment Andrew Sutch stated:

'Jill has extensive investment banking experience and we look forward to the insights and understanding that she can bring to the Board's discussions as they relate to the Company's investments'.

Mrs May does not currently hold any shares in the Company.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R (2) to (6) for Mrs May.
