SALE OF OWN SECURITIES FROM TREASURY

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that on Monday 24th November 2008 it sold from Treasury 200,000 ordinary shares at 83.0 pence per share.

Following this sale the Company now holds a total of 4,329,000 shares in Treasury at a weighted average discount of 11.84%.  

The number of shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 71,133,001.
