The Board of JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc (the 'Company') announces
that Mr. Howard Wang will continue to act as the Company's named investment
manager following Mr. Ernest Liu's resignation from the Company's Investment
Manager, JPMorgan Asset Management.

Mr. Wang is Head of JPMorgan Asset Management's Greater China team and is based
in Hong Kong.

The Board expects to make a further announcement detailing the individual to
succeed Mr. Liu in due course.
