JPMorgan Fleming Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that today in the
market, it issued 150,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 74.5 pence
per share, representing 0.22% of the ordinary shares in issue.



The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 1,150,000.  A
further 5,458,700 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the AGM in 2004.



The outstanding shares in issue following this notification are 67,237,001.
