JPMorgan Fleming Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that yesterday in the
market, it issued 100,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 76 pence
per share, representing 0.15% of the ordinary shares in issue.


The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 1,350,000.  A
further 5,258,700 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the AGM in 2004.


The outstanding shares in issue following this notification are 67,437,001.
