EXERCISE OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that today it issued 32,750 Ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by uncertificated Subscription shareholders.

The shares in issue, excluding shares held in Treasury, following this notification are 76,374,912 Ordinary shares and 12,683,663 Subscription shares.
