The following announcement replaces the 'Block listing' announcement released on
                18th August 2005 at 10:41 hrs under RNS: 2368Q.

The previous announcement stated that the shares would be allotted to members of
the JPMorgan Share Plan, ISA, Pension Account holders and to other regular
investors, and did not specify the split.  The breakdown of the expected
allocation of the 2,500,000 shares in respect of the block listing is as
follows:

200,000 shares for JPMorgan Share Plan

2,300,000 shares to be allocated to other investors



All other details remain unchanged.

JPMorgan Fleming Chinese Investment Trust plc ('the Company') announces that an
application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for a block listing of
2,500,000 ordinary shares of 25p each. The shares will rank pari passu with the
Company's existing ordinary shares of 25p each and will be allotted to members
of the JPMorgan Share Plan, ISA, Pension Account holders and to other regular
investors.
