                    REISSUE OF OWN SECURITIES FROM TREASURY


JPMorgan Fleming Asian Investment Trust plc announces that on Tuesday 20th
September 2005 it reissued from treasury 1,000,000 ordinary shares at 117.75
pence per share.


Following this reissue the Company now holds a total of 3,400,000 shares in
treasury at an average size-weighted discount of 11.75%.


The number of shares in issue less the total number of treasury shares is
164,199,154.
