JPMORGAN ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc has today purchased 669,626 Subscription Shares for cancellation at 26.00 pence per share. Following the transaction the number of Subscription Shares in issue is 7,253,372.

The Company also has a total of 106,170,097 Ordinary shares in issue.

The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury. Any shares held in Treasury would only be re-issued at a premium to net asset value.
