REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc has today purchased 964,721 ordinary shares for cancellation at 196.50 pence per share.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 150,922,005.
