JPMORGAN ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

The Board of JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Buckley as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 18th September 2014.

Mr Buckley is an experienced investment professional who has held senior executive positions in a number of asset management firms.

Until this year Mr Buckley was Chief Executive Officer at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, having served in this role since 2008.  Prior to this appointment he held several positions at HSBC Bank plc, including Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Asset Management UK and Middle East and Chief Investment Officer for HSBC Asset Management, European equities, and held a number of senior fund manager positions at Prudential Portfolio Managers.

Mr Buckley is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mr Buckley.
