JPMORGAN AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR TREASURY STOCK

JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc has today purchased 200,000 ordinary shares into Treasury at 289.47 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 10,932,944 ordinary shares in Treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 270,700,966.  The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
