Following the Annual General Meeting of the Company held today, the Board of
JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc announces that Dr George Greener CBE has
retired as a non-executive Director of the Board with immediate effect.  The
Board sincerely thanks Dr Greener for his valuable contribution during his time
on the Board.
