THE FLEMING AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC


The Fleming American Investment Trust plc (the'Company')
announces that an application has been made to The UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block listing of
3,000,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each. The shares shall rank
pari passu with the Company's existing Ordinary shares and
will be allotted to members of the Fleming American Trust ISA
(300,000 shares.), Pension (300,000 shares.), Personal Equity
Plan (300,000 shares.), Share Plan (300,000 shares.)and to
other investors (1,800,000 shares.).
