Issue of Shares

The Company has today issued 3,144,965 US$ Equity Shares at a price of US$1.00 per share.  1,276,070 US$ Equity Shares have been issued under a tap issue placing and 1,868,895 US$ Equity Shares have been issued out of treasury.  

Application has been made to list the 1,276,070 new US$ Equity Shares under the tap issue placing on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange with dealings expected to commence at 8 a.m. on 3 September 2009.

Immediately following the issue, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 352,631,802 shares of no par value (excluding treasury shares) each classified as US$ equity shares, 58,075,764 warrants that may be exercised in relation to the purchase of US$ equity shares, 63,367,316 shares of no par value (excluding treasury shares) each classified as zero dividend preference shares and 16,088,214 shares of no par value (excluding treasury shares) each classified as 2015 zero dividend preference shares.  Immediately following the issue, the Company will hold 14,977,103 US$ Equity Shares of no par value and 2,051,508 '2013' Zero Dividend Preference shares of no par value in Treasury.
