Pre-Close Period Trading Statement for the Year Ended 25 December 2004
Johnson Service Group PLC ('Johnson') is issuing the following trading update
prior to entering its close period.
Trading in the second half of 2004 has been in line with our expectations and
remains consistent with comments made in the 2004 interim results in September.
Market conditions in the workwear rental market continue to be competitive
however, the other businesses in our textile division are performing well and
have been significantly strengthened by the post year end acquisition of
Dewhirst Corporate Clothing (DCC) Limited.
The drycleaning operations continue to perform in line and the integration of
the Sketchley shops is proceeding to plan.
The Facilities Management and Hospitality businesses also continue to perform to
our expectations.
The preliminary results for the year ended 25 December 2004 are scheduled to be
announced on 14 March 2005.

Johnson Workplace Management, provides a comprehensive range of services based
on a unique business model. This focuses on management, property expertise and
the provision of a wide range of support services to FTSE businesses, national
companies and institutions.
