The Company has been notified that Christopher Rocker, a director of John
Lewis of Hungerford plc, purchased 100,000 ordinary shares of the Company on
Friday 19 October 2001 at a price of 1 pence per share. This increases Mr
Rocker's holding to 169,000 ordinary shares representing approximately 0.11
per cent of the Company's issued share capital.
