Following the strategic review previously announced, Weare 2020 plc, the digital marketing group, today announced the following appointment to its Board of Directors.

Andy Gardner joins as Chief Operating Officer of the Group from 6 April 2012. Andy was a founder of Jaywing, along with Martin Boddy the recently appointed Chief Executive Officer. Jaywing was acquired by Weare 2020 plc in 2007.

Andy is a mathematician by education and began his career in operational research before moving into financial services. Before co-founding Jaywing where he was CEO, Andy was a member of the First Direct management team and has also been both Credit Director and Customer Information Director for Egg in the UK.

Andrew Robert Gardner, 49 is a 50% shareholder of Blackstart Associates LLC, a consultancy. Andy Gardner has been a director or partner in the following companies during the five year period immediately preceding his future appointment to the board of Weare2020 plc.

Disclosure of director's share interest

As at the date of this announcement Andy Gardner holds an interest in 4,987,470 shares in Weare2020plc representing 6.7% of the issued share capital.

There is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to the AIM Rules.
