                           Transaction in Own Shares


The Company announces that between 18 and 21 September 2007, it purchased 8,000
Ordinary Shares at an average price of 206.02p per share to hold in Treasury. In
addition, between 18 and 20 September 2007 the Company has sold 15,000 Ordinary
Shares from Treasury at an average price of 203p to meet demand from a private
client broker on behalf of clients.

The Company now has in issue 10,900,000 Ordinary Shares of which 80,500 are held
in Treasury. The Company will continue to purchase its own shares for Treasury
when appropriate, and in accordance with the authority granted by its Members.
