                           Transaction in Own Shares



The Company announces that between 27 November and 1 December 2006 Jarvis
purchased 40,000 ordinary shares to hold in Treasury pending cancellation, at an
average price of 98.74375p.

The Company now holds a total of 90,000 ordinary shares in Treasury and will
continue to purchase its own shares for Treasury when appropriate, and in
accordance with the authority granted by its Members.
