RETIREMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


The Board of Jarvis Securities plc ('Jarvis' or 'the Company') wishes to
announce that Mr Lionel Grant will be retiring from his position as a
non-executive director of the Company on 30 September 2006.

Lionel was one of the founding shareholders of the Company's trading subsidiary,
Jarvis Investment Management plc, when it was started in 1984. Lionel
subsequently joined the business and has been a key part of the management team
that has grown the group over the past 22 years. Lionel will celebrate his 74th
birthday in January and has been considering retirement for some years. With the
move to AIM in 2004 Lionel was asked to stay on the Jarvis Board to help the
Company through this transitional period and now this has been achieved the
Board would like to thank him for his many years of dedicated service and to
wish him all the best in his long awaited retirement.
