       ACQUISITION TALKS AND APPOINTMENT OF NOMINATED ADVISER AND BROKER

Jarvis Securities plc ('Jarvis') is pleased to announce that it has entered
advanced discussions to acquire a company involved in the wholesale provision of
securities research, trade execution, dealing settlement and custody services to
professional intermediaries. It is anticipated that the acquisition would
accelerate growth in the provision of Jarvis's outsourced administration
solutions to stockbrokers and investment management companies.

Jarvis has also today appointed Daniel Stewart & Company plc as its nominated
adviser and broker, with immediate effect.
