                               Board Appointment


At a Board Meeting of the Company on Friday 19th April 2002 Mr Geoffrey Halstead
tendered his resignation as Group Chief Executive.  He remains Executive
Chairman of the Company.

Mr Mark Halstead, currently Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed Group
Chief Executive.

Mr Anthony Wild, on behalf of the whole Board, thanked Geoffrey Halstead for his
many years of service as Group Chief Executive, and offered support and good
wishes to Mark Halstead in his new role.
