Jadestone Energy Wins Prestigious Oil & Gas Council Award:
APAC New Entrant of the Year

Singapore, January 26, 2018: Jadestone Energy Inc. (TSXV: JSE) (the "Company" or "Jadestone") announces that it has won the prestigious APAC New Entrant of the Year award.  The results were announced on January 24, 2018 at the Asia Pacific Energy Assembly & Awards Dinner, by the Energy Council. 

"I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the entire dedicated and talented Jadestone Energy team," said Paul Blakeley, Jadestone's Chief Executive Officer. "Our strategy is working, and I'm honoured that prestigious organisations such as the Energy Council, and our peers that vote in these awards, are recognising our early success."

After announcing its strategy, the Company acquired the producing Stag oilfield in Australia, the producing Ogan Komering PSC in Indonesia, and a stake in the Block 05-1b&c PSC in Southeast Vietnam (the latter acquisition, subject to Petrovietnam's statutory pre-emption right).  Over the same period, Jadestone has exited long-dated and high-risk exploration licenses, substantially reduced costs, and made significant strides toward commercialising additional development opportunities in its portfolio.  In the most recently reported quarter, Jadestone reported its first ever gross profit and free cash-flow generated from operations.

The Energy Council combines renowned industry insight, experience and market knowledge of the global energy industry.  The organisation engages thousands of industry experts across a multi-medium marketing and business development platform, to unearth new business and investment opportunities in the gas-to-power, energy infrastructure, FSRU, LPG, LNG and geothermal sectors.  The 2018 Asia Pacific Energy Assembly & Awards Dinner is a business development, strategy and investment focused meeting bringing the industry to Singapore for thought leadership, business development, and networking.
