1.  HBOS plc informed us on 26 April 2006, that pursuant to Section 198 of
the Companies Act 1985 (as amended) (the 'Act'), the Company no longer have
a material interest, (for the purposes of Sections 208 and 209 of the Act)
in the Ordinary 1 pence shares comprising part of the relevant share capital (as 
defined in section 198 of the Act) of Phytopharm plc.
