Transaction in Own Shares


ITV PLC announces that it has today purchased for cancellation through Citigroup
Global Markets U.K. Equity Limited 4,000,000 ordinary shares at a price of
105.79 pence per share.

Upon the cancellation of these shares, the number of shares in issue will be
4,073,522,470.
